The surf world is part of our DNA. Like those engaged in fly-fishing, diving, and many other outdoor endeavors, surfers have helped shape Seaholm at every step. We are drawn to them for their lifestyle, their craft, their excellence...and their support. They help us make sure our watches are authentic, true and tested.
Australian surfer and reef advocate Jarrod White is one of our favorites and his stoked-on-life attitude is infectious to those who meet him. Jarrod is a Tavarua Boatman. He is one of the few surfers chosen to be a boatman/ guide for guests visiting the the Tavarua Island Resort, one of the most iconic surf resorts in the world. Jarrod's pupils range from heads of state to captains of industry. To be a Boatman is an honor given to a select few and is a testament to his ability on the water and his ability to teach and guide.
Jarrod is dedicated to riding waves and his attraction to Tavarua is a small piece of the reef called Cloudbreak, often called one of the best waves – if not the best wave – in the world. Jarrod plans his life to make sure he’s just a stone’s throw away from Cloudbreak all times.
A result of Jarrod’s love, respect and admiration for the indigenous people and this piece of surf heaven-on-earth is his commitment to protect of the region’s delicate ecosystem. Specifically, Jarrod has championed reef restoration and helped reintroduce the giant clam, which almost reached extinction due to over-harvesting.
Inspired by the everyday, SEAHOLM admires Jarrod’s love, drive, passion and pursuit of all things surf and all things good. Jarrod uses his Seaholm Rover everyday as a trusted piece of equipment, helping him manage a daily routine unlike anyone else's in the world.
